NEW TO THE SHOP!! The PIGMENT BARS are handmade with a blend of organic plant waxes and a mixture of natural earth pigments and micas. Some have different variations of metallic sheen and multiple pigments.
They have a beautiful, rich creamy consistency and deposit a lot of color. They can be used as a resist with watercolor and brushed through stencils plus a plethora of mixed media techniques.
Each collection is one-of-a-kind. There are limited quantities and they tend to sell out.
MIXED MEDIA IDEAS
PIGMENT BARS can be used in a variety of ways…
- as wax resist with #tracibautistacolor handcrafted artisanal watercolors
- For glazing and shading effects use a hog bristle brush
- with stencils and a scrubber brush or sponge
- freestyle mark making ~ Create thin and thick lines
- mix with linseed or walnut oil for washes
- melt and use a palette knife for textured effects
- coat mixed media paper with Golden Super Matte Medium as a base
- sgraffito marks with a stylus
- paint onto paper, fabric, or canvas
- perfect for your art journal or sketchbook
