MARCH handcrafted artisan ink + watercolor collection includes...
*aquamarine teal sparkle shimmer ink {teal green blue with hints of gold shimmer and sparkle}

THINGS TO NOTE: ideas + suggestions for use...
- a few of the inks are a mixture of dye and pigment which creates interesting color separation on the surface of papers
- always make sure to lightly shake or swirl the ink to distribute the pigments evenly before use
- experiment with different types of papers...ALL papers are not created equal. The inks will create different results depending on the substrate.
- ALL the colors in this collection are water soluble, meaning they will reactivate a bit if they are rewet.
- the watercolor swatch cards are perfect for travel....tape or glue them inside your art journal sketchbook, put them in an easy access plastic baseball trading card sleeve or punch a hole in the corner and put all the swatches on a key ring.
- Make sure to keep out of reach of children, these are made for ADULT USE.

INSPIRATION BEHIND the making of the BOHO CARAVAN COLLECTION
INSIDE THE PAINT MAKING LAB: tools of my trade. pigments. binders. art journals. sketchbooks. brushes. dip pen. safety glasses. nitrile gloves. dust mask. palette knives. a few other things on the paint making table {you don’t see to the left}...large glass muller, beakers, pipettes, two large marble slabs and misc. metal cans of tools.
each and every batch of handcrafted paint + ink goes through a series of product tests...color mixing + paint layers using different substrates, tools, and brushes. I LOVE this part of the creative process. Each mark shows the evolution of my color development.
what makes my paints different from others? each color is created with a mix of multiple pigments. Anyone can make a single pigment paint, but due to the unique color mixtures, #tracibautistaCOLOR inks + paints are truly one-of-a-kind.
COLOR COLLECTIONS + FLAIR TRAYS: during the collection development phase, I usually create a flair tray with bits and baubles from my studio stash. These pieces of "flair" inspire the color palette and theme. I encourage you to add this creative exercise into your art process. gather paint chips, fibers, fabric, paper, ephemera and found objects from your space. Arrange the objects in an area with good lighting {preferably with natural light next to a window} Take photos of the things you've collected, print it and collage it into your art journal or hang it on your inspiration board.
